Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) said House leaders are specifically concerned about a Republican motion to recommit that would contain only language on abortion that Stupak originally had wanted to include in the Senate bill.
The concern is based on the fear of GOP attack ads painting Democrats who vote against a motion to recommit that includes Stupak’s favored language on abortion as “flip-floppers” on the issue.
Sixty-eight Democrats voted for Stupak’s language in a November vote. They could be portrayed as flipping if they now voted against it.
“They are concerned about it,” Stupak said after his Sunday press conference."
We know what happened to Stupak.He caved. Dahlkamper caved.We have an ad running in our state for Kathy Dahlkamper.She brings up how she lives by her Catholic faith in this ad.I think to convince people she votes pro life.The problem is that she voted for Obamacare and it's hardly a pro life law.Catholics need to be aware that the Church will not tell what party to vote for but she does give guiding principles.Among these:
1. Abortion is intrinsically evil
2.Artificial Contraception is a moral wrong
3. People with same sex attraction are to be treated w/ compassion but same sex marriage is a moral wrong.
These are non negotiables.
3, Euthanasia and embryonic stem cell research(as well as cloning)are a grave moral evil.None of these issues are to be taken lightly. They are non negotiable according to Church teaching.
With the Democratic party becoming so liberal over the years and being taken over by the Progressive Movement it is no longer the party representing blue collar,middle America. They are more about a Socialist agenda.The Obama Administration is corrupt.
Catholic politicians seem to talk out of both sides of their mouth.It is up to the Catholic faithful to be aware of what is taught by the Church and why we need to hold these public officials claiming to be Catholic accountable.We have an obligation to let them know-for the sake of their souls as well as our own and in fact the souls of those they could lead astray.Seriously think about this.
So called Catholic politicians are unfaithful to the teaching authority of the Church(The Magisterium)and cause grave scandal. Catholics must be aware of what the Church teaches and not be led astray by these Catholic politicians.They are more interested in winning office than following the teeachings of their faith.
To name a few Joe Biden,Nancy Pelosi,John Kerry.
There is a group called Catholics for Choice. Avoid it like the plague.
They attack the Church,promote abortion,contraception and same sex marriage-they are using the world Catholic. They are no better than an anti Catholic group.
DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!
The mid term is only a few days away.We already voted by absentee ballot and voted a straight Republican ticket.There were a lot of good candidates to choose from this time.We had no problem voting a straight ticket. We need to stop this Obama admin. and the only way this will be possible is stop Democratic control of Congress. We cannot give Obama,Pelosi and Reid another 2 yrs to totally destroy our country. By the time the Presidential election comes up he will have done so much damage we will hardly recognize the country we live in.Europe,France and Greece are a window into what is to come. The Obama administration is not one to let a crisis go to waste and would only use this as an excuse to expand government control more than it already has.
When you go to the voting booth take your Catholic faith with you. We don't leave it off at the door.
We are Catholic in our churches,our homes,our work place and where we vote.
This is not about party.This is about what is good for the country is good for us.
My dad always said that. Policy that is good for the country is good for the individual.
He also said that a President doesn't just represent his party.He is the President of all the American people.
This is not Obama. His agenda is everything to him.
Please do the right thing Nov 2nd.
