Mother Therese at the National Prayer Breakfast Washington, DC, February 3, 1994 said the following re men and abortion:

By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And, by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.

FULL SPEECH HERE What's striking about Mother's comment is that she actually mentions the man's role in an abortion when the role of men has been totally left out of the debate. They focus on the woman solely because they see it as their best 'selling point.' Meaning they make it about a woman's right to choose,when that is not the issue at all. Mother Therese is correct.The role of men is to protect women and children. Legalized abortion-which is morally reprehensible-destroys 3 lives.Mother,Father,Child.
