What It Means to be a Man

i hope we can have the discussion about what it means to be a man. In light of the recent tragic events i think we need to have the discussion. Let's talk about what being a man is NOT. It doesn't mean being big and bad enough to beat up another person. I don't fault kids for having this attitude.I fault our culture for the poor messages they're getting. I've run into conservative dads on FB and Twitter. They're doing all they can to bring up decent kids in today's world. They're imparting to their kids the values they have.People are trying. You have to give these men a lot of credit because of what they are up against. BTW I am NOT suggesting that father's are failures if their kids go the wrong way. A lot of them ARE trying but you don't win every battle. I'm also sure that there are some who are not trying;i just want to be clear that not all father's are bad father's if they end up having problems. What being a man is NOT- putting notches on the bed post. The culture sees it that way and now it's promoted. Be safe and use a condom. If your partner gets pregnant, butt out. It's her choice. Just make sure you get her to the abortion mill. Blessed Mother Therese was correct when she said,
" The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion. "

What about the culture inner city kids are exposed to? For instance,Gangsta Rap.The argument for it probably goes something like this;it reflects real life. Sorry. It glorifies a distorted view of what it means to be a man. Give me one good reason to influence kids with this stuff. Our institutions used to impart values and support the parents. Now,the schools are failing. I hear more arguments for teaching kids 'sex ed' in schools than i do about giving kids the skills they will need to have a decent life and provide for themselves and their families in the future. I'm on the internet enough to know that there are too many young people that can barely spell. They don't have a clue about history. I wonder what the last good book was they read?* A lot of them appear to be indoctrinated with anti American sentiments. They don't seem to have much respect for themselves, let alone another person. Let's consider bringing back guilt and understand that it's good for us. We know then that our conscience is telling us there is a right and wrong. We don't put the image of a terrorist on a magazine and then explain away his horrific crime. He ran over his own brother for Pete's sake. What he did when he set off those bombs was grossly evil.He had a choice. Let's see: A.Controversy gets attention B.Controversy sells C.We need attention and sales *by good book that could mean THE good book. The Bible.
