Who Remembers Archbishop Fulton J Sheen?

There was a time when this Catholic Archbishop was actually on television-it was black and white when he started-and spoke to the common person.He would take great truths and explain them so simply you had no problem grasping them.His show was called Life is Worth Living and it was show worth watching. He was humorous and could make you laugh. He was serious and could make you think.He had that blackboard long before Glenn Beck ever considered it.The big difference is Archbishop Sheen always had his guardian angel clean it off for him.You never saw the angel of course. I don't know that the good archbishop would even be given the opportunity to have a show on tv today. There are 'memes' of Venerable Sheen all over the internet with his many thought provoking quotes. He was brilliant but such a good teacher he never went over your head.He appealed to non Catholics as well. Fr Andrew Apostoli of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal is working on his cause for Canonization. We hope it will be soon. He definitely led a life of heroic virtue and Blessed John Paul II referred to him as a faithful son of the Church.Indeed. Anyone remember him? Share a story, a favorite show or theme, quote,photo.
