I know this.She is not the character in the Nativity scene we put in the yard every year for Christmas,then pack away.
She is prefigured in the OT as the Ark of the Covenant. Read 2nd Samuel 6 and d Luke 1:39.Then we find even more scripture to compare:
In Luke 1:35, the angel Gabriel tells Mary "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you." Now, the Greek word for "overshadow" is episkiasei, which denotes a bright cloud of glory. It is the same cloud at the transfiguration of Jesus (Matthew 17:5, Mark 9:7.
