Solemnity of Jesus,Our Lord and Savior,Christ the KING

Our country is going through a difficult period. We made a huge mistake when we elected Obama. Some people didn't vote at all and that was as good as a vote FOR Obama. We can only hope people understand how important the 2014 elections are. I would not even worry about the 2016 Presidential election too much right now. Obama has to be stopped before we can worry about putting someone decent in the White House.

There's no harm done in supporting anyone or checking out the possible candidates in the Rep party but we need to get the House and Senate in 2014. That said, let's always remember that no matter who is President or how badly Obama destroys our country the one who has the final say is Our Lord and Savior,Jesus, the King of the Universe. Today is the Solemnity of Our Lord and Savior,Jesus,Christ the King. The relics of St Peter were put on display for the first time today in the Vatican during a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis for the Solemnity.

Whatever trials, difficulties or problems we face either as a country or an individual Jesus is King of the Universe and all creation is destined for that end. What Jesus asks is that we acknowledge His Kingship in our lives. We don't need to fear it because He calls us out of love.We lose nothing,we gain all we need.

The Feast of Christ the King was established by Pope Pius XI in 1925 as an antidote to secularism, a way of life which leaves God out of man's thinking and living and organizes his life as if God did not exist. The feast is intended to proclaim in a striking and effective manner Christ's royalty over individuals, families, society, governments, and nations.
Today's Mass establishes the titles for Christ's royalty over men: 1) Christ is God, the Creator of the universe and hence wields a supreme power over all things; "All things were created by Him"; 2) Christ is our Redeemer, He purchased us by His precious Blood, and made us His property and possession; 3) Christ is Head of the Church, "holding in all things the primacy"; 4) God bestowed upon Christ the nations of the world as His special possession and dominion.
Today's Mass also describes the qualities of Christ's kingdom. This kingdom is: 1) supreme, extending not only to all people but also to their princes and kings; 2) universal, extending to all nations and to all places; 3) eternal, for "The Lord shall sit a King forever"; 4) spiritual, Christ's "kingdom is not of this world". — Rt. Almighty ever-living God, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of the universe,
grant, we pray, that the whole creation, set free from slavery,
may render your majesty service and ceaselessly proclaim your praise. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
