Gone For A Long Time

the last entry here was 2 yrs ago. I became involved in the election of Donald Trump. It obviously worked out well. Since then i started a blog on Word Press and simply did not make it back here. Much has happened since then. The election of Donald Trump has set into motion a set of circumstances we could not have seen coming. Every day is a battle to defend his presidency and our Republic. We are witnessing a coup that is still in progress. Meanwhile i feel that there is a crisis in our beautiful Catholic Church. Yes,i respect our Holy Father,Pope Francis because he is our Pope. I will always admire our 2 previous Popes,Saint John Paul II and Pope Emeritus Benedict the XVI. I'm sure you feel the same way i do, wishing he had never stepped down, but he did. We deal with the world as it is. Our Church will survive. Jesus made a promise.He will keep it. What to do? Attend Mass,go to Confession,receive communion and pray. Defend the Church when possible.I will never abandon the faith. However,again i am tied up; this time with the re-election of Donald Trump. We must win. There are forces out there that are going to make it difficult. He is the most pro life President i have seen in my lifetime. There's a lot at stake here.I've watched the rise of socialism and shake my head in disbelief. I didn't think support for socialism would ever come to our country. It has.Now i'm watching the rise of anti Semitism in our country. i didn't think i would ever see this either. My personal life took a turn as well. My husband has some serious health issues and I'm not in the best of health myself. He was hospitalized in Oct 2018 (ICU)just shy of a week. Thank God he pulled out of it. It was a very distressing time.I respect his confidentiality and will not go into detail. When it comes to personal matters i don't ever discuss them except in general terms.I feel i have to respect the privacy of the living and protect the reputation of the deceased. I will try to get back here as often as possible. I do 3-4 blog entries per day at Word Press and try to keep up with current events. I probably read 4 or 5 articles per day related to same. It can be time consuming. I do have a husband to attend to here and a home that i take care of as best as possible.I'm going to aim at posting one entry per day here. Note i said AIM. I don't guarantee one entry per day but i'm definitely going to make the effort. Pray for our Church. We can live out our own faith in spite of the turmoil. It's not as if such things have never happened before. I'm not making light of the crisis but i am saying that it would not be the first time our Church has undergone turmoil. It has been this way since the beginning.Remember Jesus Himself said evil would not triumph over her. In His words to Peter,He assured us that the gates of hell would not prevail.We can't lose heart.
